Unilever employee wins apprentice of the year award

Unilever apprentice Sam Roberts has been named the UK food and drink industry’s Apprentice of the Year at this year’s prestigious Food and Drink Federation (FDF) Community Partnership Awards.

Third quarter results

On 25 October, Unilever released its results for the third quarter 2012. Once again, good quality growth, with volumes ahead of our markets, shows that Unilever’s transformation to a sustainable growth company is well on track and is being embedded deeply in the business.

Unilever drives sustainable growth with new European logistics project

Unilever announced today a new project part-funded by the EU which will reduce the distance its trucks drive on Europe's roads by around 200 million kilometres annually by the end of 2014, compared to 2010 levels. Of this, around 23 million vehicle kilometres will be removed from UK roads.

The future smells sweet for new apprentices in Leeds

As many of their friends head off to university as part of the first cohort of young adults to pay higher tuition fees, three school leavers have chosen a different path and are just embarking on some of the first R&D higher apprenticeships available anywhere in the country with multi-national consumer goods company Unilever in Leeds.
