Revealed: Science behind world’s first clinically proven anti-wrinkle supplement
There is only one anti-wrinkle supplement on the market clinically proven to reduce lines and wrinkles and now, details of the clinical study behind the breakthrough skin product Dove Spa Strength Within have been published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science.
The supplement is the first of a new generation of personal care products and formulated with a unique, patented blend of ingredients thatactivate and rejuvenate cells.
In what is a first for an oral supplement, the novel combination of ingredients administered in the study resulted in a clearly measurable reduction in skin wrinkle depth and an increase in collagen production deep within the skin.
Over time, skin gradually loses its ability to regenerate naturally and produces less collagen, a key molecule protein within the dermis layer. Collagen reduction in the skin starts in the mid-30s and it can drop by up to 40% between the ages of 35 and 55, leading to a loss of firmness and the formation of wrinkles.
Unilever scientists investigated the role of specific micronutrients and how they impact on skin cells. A unique combination of active ingredients which trigger the genes of collagen production was identified which eventually resulted in the development of the breakthrough product.
