Bertolli strengthens taste credentials

Bertolli, the best-selling olive-based spread[1] from Unilever UK, has been awarded the Good Housekeeping stamp of approval, having achieved an overall score of 82% in consumer research. [1] IRI value sales May 2013.

From July, all Bertolli spreads will feature the GHK stamp of approval on pack, in acknowledgement of the impressive results achieved in the recent taste survey. During February and March 2013, vouchers for Bertolli were sent out to 300 Good Housekeeping readers to trial the product and summarise their experience.

Receiving an overall rating of 8.11/10, the results highlight Bertolli’s strong taste credentials with 89% of respondents stating that they liked the “creamy” and “olive oil” flavours of the product.

To further communicate Bertolli’s taste credentials, the brand will also be linking up with renowned Italian Chef, Gennaro Contaldo, for the second year running, to find the best Deli in the country. Gennaro Contaldo will run the Bertolli Olive D’Oro awards across the summer, which will be supported with print advertising, digital and PR as well as a partnership with BBC Good Food and Olive magazines.
