Charlotte Carroll new communications director Unilever UK & Ireland
Unilever UK & Ireland has announced the appointment of Charlotte Carroll as its new Communications Director. Charlotte takes the helm of the UK and Ireland corporate communications team from 1 January 2013.
Charlotte is a familiar face to Unilever and returns to the FMCG company which owns household brands including Flora, Persil, Magnum and TRESemmé having held the role of interim UK Change Communications Director for the past two years and previously Communications Manager from 2001 – 2006.
In her new role, Charlotte will lead the UK & Ireland team responsible for corporate communications, including communicating the company’s ambitious Unilever Sustainable Living Plan, for which it has become celebrated since its launch in 2010, to internal and external audiences including employees, media, Government and NGOs. The UK & Ireland team is part of a global communications function, led by Sue Garrard, which following a restructure 12 months ago, leads the way on worldwide campaigns.

Charlotte is an experienced corporate communications professional, having worked in a range of both blue chip and public sector roles since graduating with a degree in English and Politics. She has an impressive track record spanning corporate affairs, PR, internal communications and employee engagement, as well as specialising in change communications in her recent career.
Charlotte succeeds Helene Bradley-Ritt as the Unilever UK & Ireland Communications Director who enjoyed a nine year career with the organisation before leaving to spend time with her young family.
