Decarbonising Our Business

When it comes to climate action, every tonne of carbon counts. That’s why we’ve carefully measured our greenhouse gas footprint to understand where our emissions come from so we can target our efforts.

Practicing Regenerative Agriculture

Unilever has launched its first regenerative agriculture project in the UK, working with farms that grow mustard seeds and mint leaves used in Colman’s products.

Tackling Food Waste

In our 2020 Future Foods announcement we pledged globally to halve food waste across our operations by 2025 – five years ahead of the UN’s SDG 2030 target. Our accelerated plan of action is fuelled by the urgency of what is not only a humanitarian but also an environmental and economic crisis.

Boosting Plant-Based Foods

At a global level, we are eating, growing and producing too much meat, not enough vegetables and not enough variety. This is not good for the health of people or the planet. Many of the foods we eat are resource intensive, meaning they take more water and land to grow and produce than other foods, which can damage the environment.
