Richard Sharp joined the UK & Ireland leadership team in September 2019 having previously held several senior HR roles within Unilever.

Richard joined Unilever in 2009 after spending 11 years in finance and consulting with PWC, IBM and latterly The Berkeley Partnership, where he worked with the Unilever HR Transformation team. His first in-house role at Unilever was as HR Services Director for the Americas based in New Jersey, since then he has held a combination of both local market and global roles. Most recently he led HR for Customer Development and E-Commerce at Unilever’s Rotterdam headquarters.

Richard was born in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, and graduated from Leeds University with a degree in International History and Politics. He’s a qualified chartered accountant, nearly retired marathon runner, firework artist and proud / frustrated father to two teenage daughters.
