Jon Strachan - Vice President Supply Chain

Jon joined Unilever in 1985 as a graduate (technical) management trainee. After various supply chain roles in the business, in 1999 he was appointed Factory Director of the ice cream plant in Gloucester. In 2003 he was appointed Logistics Director for the ice cream and frozen food business in the UK and in 2005 became UK/IRE Supply Chain Director for Unilever Frozen Food.

When the business was sold in 2006 to Private Equity, Jon left Unilever to become Group Supply Chain Director of the new European entity with responsibility for all manufacturing, planning and logistics activities including quality and SHE.

In 2011, Jon re-joined Unilever and in 2012 was appointed Vice President, Supply Chain Ice Cream, Americas with responsibility for NA and LA. In 2014, he became Vice President, Supply Chain, Refreshments NA and was instrumental in the successful turnaround and transformation of that business.

In April 2016, he was appointed Group Vice President, Supply Chain Refreshments with global SC responsibility for the Category including overall SC strategy, network optimisation, margin improvement programmes, global innovation and capital expenditure. In June 2017, Jon was appointed Vice President, Supply Chain UK/IRE based in Leatherhead.

Married with 3 children all now studying at universities in the UK, Jon has lived in Zurich, Switzerland for the last 5 years and is looking forward to moving back home. When not committed to work, travel and family life, passions include sailing, paddle boarding, skiing and rugby union (definitely as a spectator nowadays).

Jon graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of Southampton in the UK in 1985.
