
On Saturday 7th July over 60 Unilever employees attended the London Pride Parade with their friends and family. Marching proudly alongside the Unilever float, employees embraced the festivities which celebrates the LGBTQ+ community.
The theme of this year’s parade was ‘Pride Matters’, and this was reflected by the strong turnout of Unilever employees, including CEO Paul Polman, Aline Santos, EVP Global Marketing and Placid Jover, VP Human Resources in the UK and Ireland.
Commenting on the event, Placid Jover, VP Human Resources at Unilever UK and Ireland said: “We are proud to have once again supported London Pride in what was a truly inspiring celebration of the LGBTQ+ community. It reminded us of the great sense of community which can be achieved when we embrace our differences and celebrate diversity. As a responsible employer, we believe that only by creating an inclusive environment can our people thrive and perform to their very best.”
