Having risen to seventh place from ninth last year, Unilever is the only fast moving consumer goods company in the top ten. Winners are decided from voluntary feedback provided anonymously by employees. Being based purely on employee satisfaction, the award therefore offers a genuine insight into what it’s like to work for the company.
To date, Unilever has received over 2,000 reviews on the Glassdoor platform, each one giving an insight into the different types of roles available at the company. Overall, Unilever has increased its satisfaction rating across a range of key workplace factors, including providing career opportunities and progression, offering initiatives which promote a positive work-life balance and embedding, across the business, strong values in sustainability.
The Glassdoor award is the latest in a flurry of milestones that have cemented the company’s reputation as one of the world’s best places to work. This year Unilever was ranked 1st in the FMCG category and 8th globally on the LinkedIn Top Attractors list of the most sought-after companies. Most recently, Unilever was named as one of Britain’s Most Admired Companies (BMAC 2016).
