What do you love about working in Supply Chain?

In supply chain, no two days are the same. Every day you are faced with a new challenge or project to tackle. I get to work with some of the latest high-speed and modern machinery at the site I work at in Leeds, where we make aerosol cans and roll-on bottles. It’s truly fascinating seeing first-hand how the products I use daily are made and having the opportunity to be a part of the process.

Being a supply chain engineering apprentice allows me to have real responsibility of managing large groups of people and leading projects to help make the factory run more effectively. It’s also very rewarding. There is a great sense of accomplishment after taking on a lead role in a project, gaining the skills to carry out that role and seeing your team achieve the end goal!

What do you love most about Unilever’s values?

Unilever is constantly striving for a positive change in sustainable growth. Working for a company that is constantly trying to better themselves makes you feel more driven and passionate to succeed and to make not only the company and yourself but also the world a better and happier place to be.

Application Top Tips

When applying for a Unilever apprenticeship scheme one of the main top tips I would say is to be enthusiastic. Be sure to show you have a real passion for the role and that you don’t just need the job, you want the job. As well as this, always be yourself. Employees want to see the real you and hire you because of your own personality, not someone else’s. Finally, be prepared. Research the company and gain knowledge on the role you are applying for, this will help you when applying.
