Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship programme

What's It All About?

Unilever Business Administration apprentices provide administrative support to our UK and Global teams in a variety of departments including Marketing, Customer Development (Sales), Human Resources, Procurement, IT and Communications. We are looking for individuals with a real passion for one or more of these areas to join us!

As an apprentice, you’ll receive on-the-job training and experience in an administrative position along with formal training to gain the knowledge and skills you’ll need to support our business operations. You’ll join a team with a dedicated line manager committed to enhancing your career experiences. You’ll be given opportunities to develop the skills aligned to your role and responsibilities to enable you to take control of your career.

Where Are They Based?

Locations include Leatherhead, Port Sunlight (close to Liverpool and Chester), Kingston, Central London and Datchet, close to Slough (Ben & Jerry’s European HQ).

Who Fits The Bill?

We look for apprentices who….

  • Have a keen interest in the function to which you are applying.
  • Can work as part of a team, so excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential, as are an ability to organise a varied workload
  • Contribute their ideas and think for themselves
  • Are up for a challenge, can use their own initiative to solve problems, and can demonstrate good attention to detail
  • Have, or are predicted a GCSE at Level 4 or above or equivalent in English Language. (Please note that if you do not have a Maths GCSE at Level 4 or above, equivalent, you will be required, as part of this Apprenticeship programme to undertake this as part of the functional skills before taking the end-point assessment for this Apprenticeship Programme).
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK and have been a permanent resident in the UK for the last 3 years.

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship

And you will get paid whilst you’re working towards your Apprenticeship!

Level 4 Business Analyst Apprenticeship Programme

What's It All About?

Want to develop your IT skills in a global organisation?

Unilever have amazing Business Analyst apprenticeship opportunities within our IT function. With thorough training and a dedicated line manager you’ll gain valuable work experience, on-the-job training AND earn a salary – without any tuition fees!

Key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Applying structured techniques to investigate wants, needs and problems and opportunities
  • Modelling business situations with clearly defined boundaries
  • Analysing business process models using different scenarios and different solution model.
  • Identifying data requirements reacting to business improvement
  • Developing solutions for increased business performance

Where Are They Based?

Port Sunlight, (close to Liverpool and Chester), Kingston and Central London

Who Fits The Bill?

We look for apprentices who….

  • Have at least five GCSEs or equivalent at Level 4 or above that include English Language, Maths and ideally either ICT or Science
  • Have, or are predicted, a minimum of two A Levels, or a Level 3 Apprenticeship, or other equivalent qualification or experience
  • Have a genuine interest in business IT and solving technical problems
  • Can work as part of a team, so excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential, as are an ability to organise a varied workload
  • Contribute their ideas and think for themselves
  • Are up for a challenge, can use their own initiative to solve problems, and can demonstrate good attention to detail
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK

Qualification Achieved

Apprenticeship for Information Systems Business Analyst Level 4.

At the end of the programme, the apprentice has the option to register on the BCS Technician Register at SFIA (Skills Framework for the Information Age) Level 3.

Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship programme

What's It All About?

Unilever Data apprentices support our teams across the UK who are responsible for creating and compiling business insights to deliver analytical solutions and enable optimisation across our diverse organisation. We are looking for Data Analyst apprentices to be part of our IT and Procurement teams.

The Unilever Data Analyst Apprenticeship programme develops the higher level skills and knowledge required to create confident and capable data analyst professionals. As an apprentice on the programme, you’ll gain valuable work experience, on-the-job training AND earn a salary – plus students do not have to pay any tuition fees.

Where Are They Based? Kingston, Leatherhead, Port Sunlight (close to Liverpool and Chester) and another site close to Port Sunlight where transport is essential.

Who Fits The Bill?

We look for apprentices who….

  • Have, or are predicted, at least five GCSEs or equivalent at Level 4 or above that include English Language, Maths and ideally either ICT or Computer Science
  • Have a minimum of two A Levels, a Level 3 Apprenticeship, or other equivalent qualification or experience
  • Have a genuine interest in business IT and solving technical problems
  • Can work as part of a team, so excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential, as are an ability to organise a varied workload
  • Contribute their ideas and think for themselves
  • Are up for a challenge, can use their own initiative to solve problems, and can demonstrate good attention to detail
  • You must also be eligible to work in the UK

Qualification Achieved

Apprenticeship in Data Analyst Level 4. At the end of the programme, the apprentice has the option to register on the BCS Technician Register at SFIA (Skills Framework for the Information Age) Level 3.

Level 4 Software Developer Apprenticeship programme

Want to develop your IT skills in a global organisation?

Unilever have fantastic Software Developer apprenticeship opportunities within our IT function. With thorough training and a dedicated line manager you’ll gain valuable work experience, on-the-job training AND earn a salary – without any tuition fees!

Key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Writing code in at least one language.
  • Developing user interfaces for at least one channel
  • Linking code to the database/data sets
  • Applying structured techniques to problem solving
  • Creating simple data models and software design

Kingston

We look for apprentices who….

  • Have at least five GCSEs or equivalent at Level 4 or above that include English Language and ideally either ICT or Science.
  • Have or are predicted, a minimum of two A Levels, or a Level 3 Apprenticeship, or other equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Have a genuine interest in business IT and solving technical problems.
  • Can work as part of a team, so excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential, as are an ability to organise a varied workload.
  • Contribute their ideas and think for themselves.
  • Are up for a challenge, can use their own initiative to solve problems, and can demonstrate good attention to detail.

Level 6 Data Scientist Degree Apprenticeship programme

What's It All About?

As a Unilever Data Science Degree Apprentice, you will use data analytics to unlock insights to working data, market trends, brand and future technologies; interrogate data, systems and methodologies within your deployment function.

This can vary between Design, Robotics, Digital, Future Technologies, Systems Integration, Sustainability, Safety, and other Supply Functions to address complex problems.

You will help the way we create and leverage information, identifying patterns, resolving problems and shaping future strategies and innovation

We will offer you the opportunity to learn, earn, and gain a degree. You will develop academically, professionally, and personally and be part of a group of FMCG professionals in a company whose products help millions of people look good, feel good and get more out of life.

Our Data Science Degree Apprenticeship will cover a range of disciplines and for September 2019, we have opportunities within Unilever’s Global Supply Chain (office based), Engineering, Human Resources, Marketing, R&D and IT functions and we’ll give you the support and opportunity to turn your potential into a long-lasting and rewarding career with us.

Who Fits The Bill?

We look for apprentices who….

  • Have at least five GCSEs or equivalent at Level 4 or above that include English Language and Maths.
  • Have, or be predicted 3 A levels, including a C in Maths or equivalent.
  • Have a real passion for data.
  • Can work as part of a team, so excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential, as are an ability to organise a varied workload.
  • Contribute their ideas and think for themselves.
  • Are up for a challenge, can use their own initiative to solve problems, and can demonstrate good attention to detail.
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK and also have been a permanent resident of the UK for the last 3 years.

Degree in Data Science

3.5 years
