The natural marriage between Carte D’Or and dessert has been unbreakable since 1978, when the first delicious scoop was devoured. Today Carte D’Or’s creative combinations and mouth-watering flavours make it the number one premium ice cream brand to be enjoyed in the UK.*

Carte D'Or, known as Cremissimo in many countries, is a dessert ice cream which originated in France in 1978 with five flavours (praline, strawberry, Grand Marnier, coffee and blackcurrant). Its ice creams and sorbets are now available in a great variety of flavours. It is now available in Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, and the UK & Ireland.

If there is one thing that defines Carte D’Or it’s that we always go the extra mile. We have over 40 years’ experience in crafting truly delicious desserts, for which we strive to source some of the finest quality ingredients. All this is what makes a Carte D’Or moment truly unforgettable.

In 1990 Carte D'Or was launched in the UK & Ireland. The brand has continued to innovate and bring new flavours to both markets to tempt our taste buds.

Our current delectable Carte D’Or range of ice creams include Carte D’Or Salted Caramel, indulgent chocolate, delightful Strawberry, and classics such as, Vanilla, Vanilla Light, and refreshing Mint Choc Chip. The most recent additions to our range are Madagascan Vanilla & Brownies, and Madagascan Vanilla & Cinnamon Biscuit.

Taste always comes first with Carte D’Or. We have searched the globe - and we continue to do so - to discover some of the finest ingredients to give our ice cream desserts a truly delicious and authentic flavour.

The vanilla and cocoa we source for our ice creams are Rainforest Alliance Certified. The Rainforest Alliance Certification aims to create a better future for people and nature through encouraging farmers to adopt sustainable agricultural practices.

Since 2016, Wall’s has been working with Save the Children, and leading vanilla supplier Symrise, to improve the lives of vanilla farming communities in the SAVA region of Madagascar, securing a sustainable source of vanilla whilst ensuring the local communities can go on to build a better future.

The Vanilla for Change programme has already made a difference to the lives of more than 60,000 people. The project supports 10,000 households, reaching every village within Unilever’s extended vanilla supply chain in Madagascar. It has also trained and supported nearly 3,140young people in its Youth Committees, improving their life-skills and career prospects for the future.

In 2022, we took another exciting step forward in our efforts to reduce our impact on the environment, with the release of our responsibly sourced, recyclable paper tubs. Single use plastic packaging is a key concern for our consumers, as it is for us as a brand. Our packaging is now made with 93% less plastic!**

Carte D’Or began over 40 years ago as a restaurant desserts brand in Paris, proudly served by chefs in the home of gastronomie. That heritage of culinary expertise still sits at the very heart of what we do today. We combine the finest ingredients with decades of knowledge and skill to craft unforgettable desserts, for an unmatched ice cream experience.
