We share the same commitment as the entire Unilever organisation to add Vitality to life, with brands and products that help people to look good, feel good and get more out of life.
Our portfolio includes brands such as HB ice cream, Lyons Tea, Knorr, Flora, Hellmann's, Persil, Suf, Comfort, Dove and Lynx. Our head office is now in Citywest, Dublin 24. We also have regionally-based sales personnel throughout the country. In addition, we have a small manufacturing site in Carrigaline, Co. Cork.
We strive to be the most innovative and best consumer goods business in Ireland - providing great brands and products to meet everyday needs for nutrition, hygiene and personal care. We pursue this through outstanding commitment to our consumers and trade customers. Our people are key to achieving our growth objectives and to winning in the marketplace. We genuinely try to create together, an inspiring, enterprising and energising workplace.
We also take our responsibility to our community and the environment very seriously and aim to achieve the highest standards of integrity, care and safety in everything we do. In 2008, we won the 'Eco business - Multinational Corporation' category award at the Chambers Ireland President's Awards for Corporate Social Responsibility.
Unilever Ireland, Citywest
Unilever Ireland's head office has been located at the Citywest site since 2004. The move was to consolidate office-based staff in Rathfarnham and Goldenbridge into one location. In August 2005, staff from our sister company – Lever Faberge, previously based in Tallaght, also transferred to the Citywest site as part of the move towards a single Irish business. At present, there are over 150 people working in the Citywest office site.
Unilever Ireland, Carrigaline
The Lipton Ice Tea factory was established in 1995 in Carrigaline, Co. Cork, ten miles south-east of Cork city. The Lipton factory makes ice tea kits – these raw materials are sent to bottlers around the globe who add water, sugar and acids. One kit produces 15,000 litres of ice tea. The factory produces these kits for countries all over the world. There are 17 permanent employees and six to eight temporary people for six months of the year at the factory.
