Welcome to the homepage for the Unilever International Schools Art Project (UISAP) – a programme which allows aspiring artists to have their work displayed at London's Tate Modern gallery.

The Unilever International Schools Art Project, now in its eighth year, encourages young people from around the world to create a painting, a sculpture or a small installation on a given theme. Over 125,000 children have taken part since the project’s inception.

UISAP & The Unilever Series

The initiative is linked to The Unilever Series of contemporary art commissions at Tate Modern, and it encourages young people to create original work on a given theme that relates to the work of the commissioned artist for The Unilever Series.

The artist Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster is currently creating the ninth commission in The Unilever Series, and her work has inspired this year's UISAP theme, Spaces and Places.

The Unilever Series: turbinegenerationThe Unilever Series: turbinegeneration

Tate has produced an exciting new online project, sponsored by Unilever - The Unilever Series: turbinegeneration. Like UISAP, its themes link directly to The Unilever Series in Tate Modern. Currently in its pilot year, turbinegeneration invites schools to share ideas across the internet using a variety of media: photography, sound, video and oral stories.

Schools can ask Tate to partner them with other schools from different countries around the world. The aim is to enhance student understanding by encouraging interaction and collaboration through contemporary art. This year, turbinegeneration will be working with schools from China, Colombia, Greece, Russia and the UK. New countries will be added each year as the project develops
