Anna FordIce cream all the way!

For my first placement, it was ice cream all the way. The Wall’s tubs and Viennetta range were undergoing a massive redesign, and my job was to manage the artwork process by working closely with design agencies. Not only that, but also incorporate new flavours, cover a range of products and make it all happen on time. It’s a really iconic range, and for practically my first project, I was responsible for coming up with a new look for it. That’s unbelievable.

Perhaps what I’m most proud of, however, is my work with Carte D’Or on my fourth placement. We were launching a new product, and I got involved in everything from managing a piece of Direct Mail, to coordinating consumer sampling, to handling the media planning process. But the most challenging and most satisfying part, however, was selling in the new product to a large supermarket. I wrote and delivered the entire presentation myself, and not long afterwards, I saw the fruits of my labour - in freezers across the ice cream section.

Responsibility is a reality here. It’s only been four years since I started, and already I’m a brand manager for Magnum. That’s something I’d never even dreamt of.
