The Unilever Graduate Leadership Programme is all about potential. The two-year programme is designed to turn creative, talented and ambitious graduates into the future senior managers of Unilever.

StaircaseLive life's bigger challenges

Take a moment to think. Chances are you've already licked, squirted, eaten, spread or sprayed one of our products today – Lynx, Dove, Ben & Jerry's PG Tips, Sure, Domestos, Peperami. And you're not alone. Every second millions of people choose our products to help them with the challenges of daily life. But what exactly goes into making all of these products?

It’s our mission to enrich the lives of people the world over - by tackling the bigger challenges that lie behind each and every one of our brands. And that’s exactly what our Graduate Leadership Programme gives you the chance to do. It’s been specifically designed to harness your individual talents with world-class training and development that lets you experience more in 24 months than you ever thought possible.

A real job from day one

The first thing you should know is that you will have a real job from the day you get here. One that will make a genuine, and noticeable, contribution to our business. One that will test your skills from the outset.

You will specialise in one of six Career Areas and will be based in one of our UK business units. The scheme will involve an average of four placements over two years. These placements are real jobs that provide a fantastic insight into the business and the chance to develop new skills constantly. Placements will be in different business units across the UK so you need to be flexible about where you live during this time.

Wherever you’re based you’ll quickly see that our functions work closely together and you’ll often be part of cross-functional teams. You’ll also get involved on every level – which could mean a stint on the factory floor, or spending some time in a supermarket, for example. As you progress, your placements get more challenging – which can mean managing larger budgets, bigger brands or more people.

The scheme is all about supporting you every step of the way to senior management. As well as learning on the job, you’ll be able to take advantage of many training and development opportunities, including courses which in some cases lead to professional qualifications. Much of your development, however, will be up to you. You’ll need to be focused and ambitious to get where you want, identifying opportunities and taking responsibility for your own development.
