"My big priorities at the moment are around Organisation Development and Talent Management"

Gavin MitchellHR business partner - marketing

"I joined Unilever in 1996 via the graduate scheme into the HR function.  I spent 8 years working in HR for Ice Cream and Frozen Foods UK (Birds Eye Wall's as it used to be called) in a variety of HR roles.  I moved to Unilever UK Foods in August 2004 as HR business partner for marketing.

My big priorities at the moment are around Organisation Development and Talent Management - building the right environment and finding the best ways to get the most out of our people.  What I'm loving about Unilever right now is the increase in the speed of decision making and the pace of change in the business; and the passion, energy and desire to keep Unilever in front of our competitors.

If there was on thing I'd change about Unilever, it would be to move even faster and to make even bigger and bolder decisions!

Outside of work I'm a former oarsman that still loves the outdoors and being active.  Being active these days is more about trips to the gym and cycling laps of Richmond park than the training intensity of competitive rowing.  I also love to travel, and this summer's trip will be to travel the length of the pacific coast highway from Los Angeles to San Fancisco, in a hopelessly impractical American sports car!"
