"People often talk about the positive culture in Unilever and I reckon that's why many people do choose to stay."

Fiona ForbesMarketing manager - Hellmann's

"I've worked in marketing for Unilever for almost 7 years and during that time I've worked on lots of our brands.  I began on Scottish Blend, one of our tea brands.  During that time, I spent 18 months moving around different functions, including a placement in Paris.  Since then I've worked on Lipton Ice Tea and PG Tips.  I'm now the marketing manager for Hellmann's, which is a fantastic, well known and well loved brand.  Hellmann's is one of our biggest brands, growing really quickly and I have a great brand team and a sizeable marketing budget to spend.

I joined Unilever's graduate scheme straight from University and I've really enjoyed the time I've spent here.  What's great is the responsibility and autonomy you get from quite and early stage in your career.  I really feel that I am genuinely in charge of the brand I'm responsible for, and if you're good, you will get that responsibility even earlier.  I absolutely love marketing and in particular developing advertising and I've been really lucky to have been able to make several adverts already in the short time I've been here.

People often talk about the positive culture in Unilever and I reckon that's why many people do choose to stay.  I always feel that if I have an issue with a particular activity, there will always be someone who will help me out and support me.  The people here do genuinely care about what we do and really want to make the right decisions.

I tend to work quite flexible hours because I travel between London and our office in Crawley and travel abroad a couple of times a month.  I do try where possible not to work at the weekend - I'm more likely to be found on a tennis court or socialising with friends!"
