The Slim-Fast 3.2.1 diet is a low-calorie meal replacement plan for people with a BMI of 25 and over. It uses Slim-Fast’s range of products.

The plan recommends three snacks a day from an extensive list, including crisps and chocolate, two meal replacement shakes or bars and one regular meal, taken from a list of recipes on the Slim-Fast website. You can stay on the diet for as long as you want depending on your weight loss goal. Once reached, you’re advised to have one meal replacement shake a day, up to two low-fat snacks and two healthy meals. The plan is designed to help you lose about 1lb to 2lb a week and you can follow the diet for as long as you want.

Slim.Fast was originally a range of milk and soy-based milkshakes developed by the Thompson Medical Company in 1990. Unilever acquired Slim.Fast Foods in 2000.

People choose Slim.Fast because it works - it's easy, tasty and doesn't mean giving up all your favourite snacks.

Slim.Fast is proven to work, with over 10 years of clinical evidence showing that people using Slim.Fast lose more weight and keep it off for longer than with a conventional calorie controlled diet. This was recently affirmed by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), who gave a positive decision both to the role of meal replacements in reduction of body weight but also with the maintenance of body weight after weight loss.
Each Slim.Fast meal replacement is formulated to provide you with the nutrition you need to lose weight healthily – they contain protein, fibre, essential fatty acids, plus a 1/3 of the recommended daily amount for 22 vitamins and minerals.

The Slim.Fast 3.2.1. Plan offers you the structure you need along with an abundance of variety. All you need to do is follow the plan:

• Pick three delicious snacks a day
• Choose two Slim.Fast shakes or meal bars
• Have one sensible 600 calorie meal

And remember to drink around two litres of water a day and get some exercise.
